What makes Dr. Graze's writing style unique?
Although Dr. Graze's young adult novels are for all youth, he writes in "third person limited" using the perspective of a young teenage Latina protagonist within the barrio. His novels begin with simple situations that require choices on the protagonist's part. However, as the series progresses, coming of age situations in the barrios require choices involving more serious and consequential circumstances.
